Each wind turbine is assigned a unique alphanumeric name, usually referred to as its ID number, displayed on an ID sign painted yellow to ensure clear visibility during the day. At night, to illuminate these ID signs while avoiding light pollution, blind spots, and interference with the visual signals for ship operators, specially designed LED marking lights are required.
This professional lighting design provides even and focused illumination, ensuring that the location of each wind turbine can be accurately identified during search and rescue operations or special services, thereby enhancing the safety and operational convenience of wind farms.
Customization for Offshore Environments
The ID sign is made from marine-grade aluminum alloy AL5754. AL5754 contains a higher proportion of magnesium (typically between 3.0% and 5.0%), which effectively prevents corrosion of the aluminum alloy surface by seawater, extending the material's service life and providing excellent resistance to seawater corrosion.
The yellow background with black text design ensures high contrast visibility during the day, and at night, the LED marking light provides 160°x20° wide-angle illumination, making it more prominent in the offshore environment. This ensures that wind farms and other offshore structures can be quickly identified at long distances and under complex visual conditions.
Durable and Corrosion-Resistant Materials
The LED marking light housing is made of SUS316L, a material with excellent corrosion resistance and mechanical properties. SUS316L is a type of low-carbon stainless steel that contains molybdenum (Mo), which gives it superior resistance to chloride corrosion. This makes it ideal for harsh marine environments and other corrosive environments.
Automatic Brightness Adjustment Based on Environment
Another highlight of the ID marking system is its intelligent adjustment function in conjunction with the wind turbine warning system. When an offshore wind farm or other structures encounter extreme weather or emergencies, the ID marking system can automatically adjust the lighting brightness based on environmental visibility, providing clearer and more easily recognizable signage information for offshore vessels, aircraft, and other operations.
